Shipping & Return Policies
Thank you so much for shopping with us, we truly appreciate your support! Please read through the following policies before placing your order.
1. All Sales Are Final
All orders are final once placed. We are unable to cancel or modify orders after submission. Spring orders will ship based on the shipping option selected at checkout.
2. Shipping Options
Please select your preferred shipping method at checkout:

Ship Now (Buyer’s Risk): Ships the Monday or Tuesday after order is placed. If freezing or weather-related damage occurs during transit, Onken Farm is not responsible and will not replace tubers.

Ship When Weather Permits: Orders will be held and shipped when temperatures are safe.

Local Pickup: You will be contacted when your order is ready.

Combined Shipping: If you'd like to add more items to your order before it ships, place a new order using code MOREDAHLIAS and we’ll combine them. Please note, this code is only for combining multiple orders. It is not valid for free shipping on a single order. Orders using this code incorrectly will be canceled.
3. Tuber Quality & Packaging
Each dahlia tuber is carefully selected, inspected, and packaged to ensure it arrives safely. Tubers are sold as single tubers and packed in vermiculite, wood shavings, or peat moss. We guarantee that each tuber has at least one viable eye at the time of shipping. Tubers naturally vary in size, shape, and appearance, this does not impact performance. We do not sort for “pretty” tubers. If a tuber is small, oddly shaped, or not visually perfect but has a healthy, viable eye, we sell it. In our experience, “ugly” tubers can perform just as well as picture-perfect ones, we prioritize viability over appearance.
4. Tuber Performance
We take great care to provide healthy tubers, but we cannot guarantee growth after planting. Conditions such as weather, soil, pests, and care are beyond our control. No refunds or replacements will be issued for tubers that fail to grow, rot after planting, or do not thrive.
5. Virus & Disease
We follow strict sanitation practices and remove any plants showing signs of disease. However, viruses can develop or be introduced after planting through pests or environmental factors. Because this is outside of our control, we cannot guarantee tubers will remain virus-free after planting and do not offer refunds or replacements for virus-related issues.
6. Reporting Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If you receive a damaged tuber, a blind tuber (no viable eye), or an incorrect variety, contact us within 5 days of delivery with photos at leigh@onkenfarm.com. Approved issues will be replaced with the same variety or one of equal value.
7. Shipping Issues
We are not responsible for lost or delayed packages. Please contact the carrier directly with your tracking information for any shipping-related concerns.
8. Order Fulfillment
In the rare case a tuber becomes unavailable before shipping, you will be notified and offered either a replacement (if available) or a refund for that item.
